Friends of Our Youth are a four-piece from the borderlands of Manchester and East Lancashire, bound by an unshakeable conviction in music as both creative sanctuary and quiet rebellion. Theirs is a sound forged in the half-light between cities and moors: expansive, cinematic, and unflinchingly honest, always carrying the emotional weight.

Having spent the last three years honing a voice that belongs distinctly to them, the band decamped to a remote studio in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, to work with revered producer Mark Jones (Peter Gabriel, Black Grape) The result is Signals, their second album, scheduled for release in 2026: a sonically expansive statement that marks a decisive evolution while remaining anchored in the values that first brought them together.

Friends of Our Youth do not chase trends. They cultivate a sonic landscape that feels both timeless and urgently present, one that rewards close listening and leaves a lingering resonance long after the final note.
